iQuick Tweet 1.22 was just approved by Apple and should be making it’s way to the App Store shortly. What’s new? Something I should have done a long time ago.
After the Keynote last week and seeing that Apple has added Twitter and Facebook “widgets” to Notification Center in the unreleased iOS 6, it hit me — why can’t I use a local notification to achieve a similar thing.. but on iOS 5? So, I submitted it to Apple, unsure if it would even get approved.. but it did!
Now, each time you exit the app a notification will be put into your Notification Center, acting as a shortcut to get you back to iQuick Tweet quicker. Anytime you want to send a tweet, just pull down the notification tray and tap on the alert.
If you go into Settings > Notifications on your iOS device, you can move iQuick Tweet to the top of the list. You may also want to disable any banner alerts to make the experience a little more pleasant.
A taste of iOS 6 on iOS 5, is what I like to think of it as. You can get iQuick Tweet for $0.99 in the App Store right now.
